Decorating for Summer

We at Four Seasons wanted to provide you with the hottest trends this summer, from decorations to foods and even ways to spend your free time. Now that it is officially past June 20th and the start of summer, let’s get decorating! We are going to start with some tips for home decor that would be the perfect touch in your sunroom, patio room, LifeRoom, or any other addition inside or outside the home throughout the next few months.

The color of this summer is, drum roll please… blue. Any shade of this beautiful hue that represents the ocean and the sky is recommended for paints and decorations this summer. Pops of bright blue in more neutral spaces lighten up the room and also tie in current trends, like making a statement with an accent color in a more toned-down room. This brings us to another trend of summer 2021: minimalism and neutrality. Keeping spaces open with colors like ivory, beige, and pale gray give the opportunity for you to play around with space and continue to change it with the times. Another great feature of minimalism that we at Four Seasons love is letting the sunlight in, one of the many benefits of our sunrooms and other additions. Along with sunlight, other natural elements like plants and succulents are all the craze in 2021. Four Seasons outdoor additions provide the ideal breeding ground for a garden, with endless sunlight and regulated temperatures.

This brings us to our favorite home trend of 2021: letting the sunshine in! This is quite literally our motto, and one of the most recommended tips by all designers this year. Sunrooms, LifeRooms, and patio rooms are all constructed to allow natural light to seep in. We are all about this trend, and promise that our products are up for the task.

Next, we wanted to include a few more homemade summer tips, along with some exclusive 2021 trends. We love this trend for summer, especially because it is delicious. Charcuterie boards are as popular as ever. From cheese and crackers to candy, breakfast foods, and even taco ingredients, these visually appealing and tasty boards will be featured at every gathering this summer. Secondly, we are getting crafty in 2021. Embroidery, pottery, glass etching, and bottle painting are all hands-on activities that make for beautiful decor and useful dishes and glasses this summer. It is also a great idea to upcycle old vases or pottery by putting on a new paint coat and making them the focus of your room. If you are willing to get a little creative, this decor activity was made for you. Other homemade projects, like tissue paper flowers, lanterns, or wreaths are always trending, can be fun to make with the whole family, and will brighten up your living space. They also add a touch of love and allow all of your loved ones to be represented in the room.

We at Four Seasons love all of these trends, and hope you try them when decorating for summer 2021!
