Gaining traction in early 2018, “Modern Farmhouse” searches on Etsy are up 142% compared to last year and according to Google Trends, interest in the search term doubled year over year. The “Modern Farmhouse” style consists of warm tones, wood accents, plaid/striped or solid fabrics in dark reds, greys and blacks, beige and sage green hues, as well as galvanized steel, and other rustic, industrial, and vintage-themed materials.
