Sail Into Summery Sunrooms

Nautical Home Décor

We absolutely adore living in our beautiful home community of Long Island, New York! Nestled in the very south-east corner of New York state, Long Island boasts miles of gorgeous beaches and rows of vineyard country in a haven for families. Drawing inspiration from the rocky and sandy shorelines that envelop all sides of the island, we’re loving nautical-themed home décor for June!

One of the joys of a sunroom is access to all that natural light and nothing says summer more than sunshine and beach days! A breezy coastal style can bring a little bit of our home, to yours, whether you’re a native to the island or not.
Nautical home décor truly never goes out of style, especially as we sail into summer. Soft-toned wood paneling and confident blue accents create a timeless, classic theme that can match or adapt to any unique personal style.
Natural fibers with multi-layered textures create depth and visual interest in your living area! Mimicking sandy shores, woven straw and rope accessories add a thoughtful, care-free air to your sunroom space. Glass bowls with rope elements or distressed wooden tables seem authentic and lived-in and a few well placed seashells can take you back to those childhood days where you would try and collect the most interesting beach souvenir.
Echoing Hampton’s beauty, blue and white make the perfect summery living area. With its ability to widen and elongate, white linen fabrics, white paint colors, or clean white paneled walls can give any small space a big feel. Opening the natural view of a sunroom, blue hues create a calm, serene spot and depth to instantly add visual interest! Try small blue-and-white striped curtains to lengthen and complement your replacement windows.

Don’t be afraid of the littlest details! Anchor coat hooks or boat-printed fabrics can seamlessly pull together your completed design. Intentionally placed around the room, it is the little design elements that delight every visitor and comfort every inhabitant. This navy whale is fun and interesting way to fill up empty table space and create eye movement!
