As our society is finally returning to “normal” due to the introduction of vaccines, we are all opening up our doors and spending more time with those we love. Before we discuss the bright future ahead, let's take a moment to reflect on the past. During the heart of the pandemic, many industries were struggling. A variety of businesses had to shut their doors due to a lack of customers and need for their products. Contrarily, other industries boomed due to a want for their goods and services. Among these was the home improvement industry. Americans allocated record levels of capital toward home improvements; a study by Harvard University researchers determined home improvement spending increased 3% during 2020. Housebound Americans found the
